Cosmos (ATOM) is an ecosystem of interoperable, sovereign blockchains connected through the Cosmos Hub and the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol. It enables seamless asset transfers and data sharing between independent chains while allowing each to maintain its own governance and consensus. ATOM is used for staking to secure the hub, governance voting, and facilitating interoperability across the growing Cosmos network.
